If you have the time and the resources i beg you to donate and spread awareness, even make a page on your site to bring attention to these issues, or speak about them at least from time to time. We humans only know of one life, and it's true that those above us won't do anything to make sure people's lives don't get wasted dwelling in hell, but at least do what you can. I know it hurts to not be able to change anything and be unable to sit and not think about it, so at least do the small things you can think of, help individuals anywhere you go, and give if you can to those that could make a difference on people's life.
I usually donate to Khartoum aid kitchen, i did have to research
a bit to make sure i could get to an organization that could actually
make a clearer difference with little money and that didn't lose too
much on management costs, and this one was what made me feel safer.
I heard that save the children is the best one
when talking about the big NGOs/ONGs
(though it has done plenty of rephresible and disgusting things in many places,
including sudan, in the past)
but i prefer to reccomend you this one. If you choose any other please email me the reason! If you found any problems
i'd like to know, after all i have to make sure that the small things i can do via donating are actually useful.
Now, regarding the conflict in Sudan. You should know that this is not simply a civil war
as it is often framed. And what i will be saying in this brief paragraph is another oversimplification,
but I hope it gives you something to lean on before deciding to read other resources.
The current war involves the Rapid Support Forces (RFS) and the country's army. The RFS were used by the country’s former dictator (Omar Al-bashir) to commit various war
crimes for which he was imprisoned, and it’s worth noting that these acts
were carried out against non-Arab groups, implying the existence of ethnic motivations.
For this reason, the “conflict” in Sudan is often described as a genocide against the black african population, which involves
massacres,
brutal sexual violence, torture, and other atrocities. (highlight to see, i only mention the acts, nothing is described)
Sudan is also a country rich in gold and other resources that are of interest to nations such as the United
Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, which have been accused of financing the RFS to control
the areas where these minerals are found and get profit.
I have to admit that my resources are very small, i find it really hard to read about the unspeakable things people are being put through in there, but i should try to put the effort for them again. If you can't bear learning more just settle for sharing or helping through other means, we are not the ones to blame for this, but i think that actual poeple and not policitians are the ones that will save those who suffer, so let's a least give them the means.
About UAE's involvement A short interview on i saw on the news giving an overview of the situation, in catalan A very easy to read aricle about how the media is treating this genocide and the issues surrounding it Amnesty International's toolkit, provides resources, ideas on how to help and what to do
He starts by things you can actually do, and he managed to ingrain into me the idea that i don't really have to know
everything and that it's a matter of time, which is what made me actually code stuff eventually :p
Yes.. they are linked on every other page, but they're really useful to actually understand the element you're working on when you run into a problem
or forgot something! Reading through something thoroughly is better than going to the exact answer you need *always*! At least i feel like it's better to accumulate
proper knowledge over time (but even i have to put that more into practice lol). This said it's easy to get a quick answer from them so don't worry.
Also W3schools has free courses so you might check them out! :p
When i have problems i prefer to come here for an answer, you don't need to post a question, just search your issue and some link to a post on the site will probably have something similar
I come here mainly for things that require javascript or small css animations, i find it quite useful though you can probably get code anywhere.
wao the animation on the homepage is so cool :o
would be nice if you linked back here if you ever use them but no pressure!!! :]
These dangles were made when i was using a tablet i had trouble handling so despite looking so simple i did struggle a bit :p
