Backstory

Nare was born to a couple (¿) of super cool parents who thaught him all about being rad and friendly with people, she grew up in a generally positive and caring household.
She has an older brother whom she spends all day glued to, it helps that they both work as sound technicians on the same place so they can talk a lot. It was his brother who also recommended her to his workplace, he's also the one who got him into music and sound more effectiveky that the songs their parents blast on the house all day.

Nare still lives on their parent's house, which is may be culturally rare for their species.
She loves navigating their life wih a laid back attitude, though she has always seen closely other faces of the world, particularly ones far from his usual enviormnets. This is due to the fact that his parents are quite involucrated in the comunity and the different means to help the people of the reef, and consequently she has more awareness of the different types of people he might encounter.
This has helped her to read people with ease and avoid being overpyting or overestimating wtih them, which makes her likeable and friendly.

Nare's nice but when they get mad it's quite noticeable, they usually choose to display mild anger however they seem fit.

Nare is in a ROMANTIC relationship with Labon. Nare and Labon have been a couple for a year¿ They both met at a party when Labon tried to scam the fish believing they would be easy bait due to the stupid and clueless look on their face.
The thing didn't go exactly as expected and they eneded up hooking up instead, thought Labon only cared about it the morning after, he initially asked Nare to date him because he didn't exactly like the look of the situation, and actually fell for them over the following days as he deconstructed the idea he had of them.

The relationship between both is quite stable and comfortable, i think some view them as more of super best friends that kiss sometimes, though they wouldn't describe themselves that way, they mostly keep couple business to themselves because Labon is really shy about public displays of affection.

Nare is BEST FRIENDS with Marnie. To most other people's amazement, the person which with Nare gets more along and finds themselv more at ease is Marnie.
Their personalities contrast against each other sharply, anyone would say that an easily annoyed looner like marnie would despise noisy and cheerful people like Nare, but they're actually the person that knows better how to behave around her!

The usually 'push' her into the things she wants to do but finds herself too embarassed to ask, and at the same time are able to understand clearly when it's not the case, so being with them gives Marnie some more freedom to act however she wants to without breaking her usual behaviour or facade, to put it some way, idelly Nare wishes she would be able to do these things herself eventually and stop being so self conscious, but they know it takes time, and in the meantime they only wish to see her enjoying herself.

They both met at a yound age, both of their parents were friends and it was Marnie's guardian who indtroduced Labon's parents associations and spaces that were mostly for jellies where they could provide help and i guess just make friends and community in general, since both of the adults have always loved being around people.

Soo little Marnie and Nare were quite typical, Nare was always following the girl around and rambling, their parents encouraged them as long as they didn't make her uncomfortable, and marnie rolled with it because Nare was super transparent and genuine, which she loves.
